Testimonial from N’yirah Renfroe, Macon-Bibb E911, GA

Updated: Apr 5, 2022

"I became a 911 Dispatcher because I have always had a desire to help those in need. In 2018, I started applying to agencies in Middle and North GA after having a long talk with my Family, and even applied to an agency in Florida because I was thinking about moving back to the state I was raised in. I took countless assessments for multiple agencies, and I was eventually led to Henry County E-911 to start my Dispatch career. I took a brief break from Dispatching, but my Heart never left the career. In August of 2020, I started with Macon-Bibb E911, and I got back into the groove of things like I never left. Dispatching is in my heart. It's one of the FEW things I know I'm good at. One of the FEW things I feel "right" about. When I put on my headset, take calls from those in need, dispatch units to citizens who are in crisis, and contribute, no matter how minor or major it might be, I feel like I'm giving back. I feel like I'm doing something good for my community. I just feel "right".

I became a Dispatcher because I'm the Calm in the Chaos. I'm the light when things are dark. I became a Dispatcher because this is just, what I feel in my heart, God called me to be just that. I feel like God called me to Dispatch. I don’t know who how long but for now this is my Calling."
