Under the FBI CJIS Security Policy (CJISSECPOL) v.6.0, there is a large list of specific written policies and procedures that must be maintained by every criminal justice agency and CJIS vendors. Since the requirements have changed quite drastically over the past couple of years, our team has put together a policy checklist!

Pro-tip: it is recommended to create and maintain a "Policy Binder" (digital or physical) where each of your CJIS policies can be found for easy reference and access. Each policy should have a Version History and a dissemination information stating that all employees have read and acknowledged the rules.
