Diverse Computing is always accepting resumes from qualified candidates for internships and full-time positions. This internship is different from most. We believe in helping our young talent professionalize, so you’ll get hands-on, paid experience, and have a flexible schedule. You will work on graphics for our website, craft training videos, design flyers and pamphlets, and help design user interfaces for our software.

As the Graphic Design Intern, you will:

  • • work with others to learn the ins and outs of our software;
  • • use the knowledge and skills you obtained through your education and experience to assist the creative team with the design and execution of on-brand marketing and communications;
  • • craft flyers, posters, and electronic content such as web pages, buttons, banners, and promotional materials;
  • • maintain and organize electronic project files in the established manner set forth by our department;
  • • assist the project and development teams with user interface design tasks;
  • • work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

This internship might be for you if:

  • • you have worked with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign);
  • • you are familiar with video editing software and WordPress;
  • • you’re an artist who understands that graphic design is more than just making things look pretty;
  • • you love your work and you have samples or a portfolio that show it;
  • • you’re super organized and reliable;
  • • you’re a master multi-tasker with a positive personality;
  • • you have experience with both digital and print design;
  • • you can quickly grasp technical concepts and make them easily understandable with text and pictures;
  • • you’re able to come in to our Tallahassee office for a minimum of 15-20 hours/week;
  • • you can commit to a multi-semester internship;
  • • you’re interested in being hired on full-time when you graduate; and
  • • you can pass a background check and drug screening.

As the Config Intern, you will:

  • • work with others to learn the ins and outs of our software;
  • • communicate with business/systems analysts and developers to understand system requirements;
  • • build forms and menus for web applications;
  • • update and craft style sheets using XML;
  • • assist in quality assurance (e.g. system testing) and troubleshooting; and
  • • provide status reports and regular updates to the project coordinator.

This internship might be for you if:

  • • you have a technical background, especially in XML or HTML;
  • • you’re super organized and reliable;
  • • you’re a master multi-tasker with a positive attitude;
  • • a good work ethic is part of who you are;
  • • you have a fundamental understanding of IT, database, and software development concepts;
  • • you have previous IT internship experience (preferred but not required);
  • • you’re pursuing a degree in Information Technology (IT); Management Information Systems (MIS); Computer Science (CS); Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT); or other related technology fields;
  • • you’re able to come in to our Tallahassee office for a minimum of 15-20 hours/week;
  • • you’re expecting to graduate some time in 2018, but you can start immediately;
  • • you can pass a background check and drug screening; and
  • • you plan to stick around Tallahassee for a while.

  • • You’re creative and able to shoot and edit videos with branding goals in mind.
  • • You have at least a basic understanding of the tools and techniques used to edit and shoot a film.
  • • You have experience with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, or other video editing software.
  • • You’ve worked with digital cameras and equipment.
  • • You want to stick around Tallahassee for a while and can commit to two consecutive semesters of work.
  • • You prefer working on a team.

  • • configuring, installing, and maintaining customers’ router and VPN appliances on-site;
  • • performing some quality assurance testing; and
  • • assisting with internal systems administration tasks.
