Phone Based SecureX2 Two Factor Advanced Authentication
Two easy steps for two-factor advanced authentication:
- Enter your username and password
- Instantly, the SecureX2 Authenticator sends the X2Passcode to your registered cell phone. Enter the X2Passcode to finalize the authentication process.
The simple X2 process provides two factors of authentication through two separate channels (your computer and your cell phone):
- Something you know – your password.
- Something you have – your cell phone.
A valid login requires you to know your user id, your password, and have physical possession of your cell phone.
Grid Card Based SecureX2 Two Factor Advanced Authentication
Two easy steps for two-factor advanced authentication:
The X2 Grid Card is a credit card-sized paper token consisting of numbers and/or characters that are organized in a row/column layout. Upon login, users are presented with a set of coordinates and must respond with the X2Passcode located in the corresponding grid location from the unique grid card they possess. The SecureX2 Authenticator can send the X2Passcode coordinates to your computer or phone.
- Enter your username and password.
- Enter the X2Passcode indicated by the coordinates on the grid card.
A valid login requires you to know your user id, your password, and have physical possession of your X2 Grid Card.
- Something you know – your password.
- Something you have – your grid card.
Electronic versions of the X2 Grid Card may be sent to users via the Web, Phone, or as a PDF. These can be easily printed, stored on a machine or mobile device.
Hard Token Based SecureX2 Two Factor Advanced Authentication
Two easy steps for two-factor advanced authentication:
The X2 Hard Token is a physical device that generates random X2Passcode numbers.
- Enter your username and password.
- Enter the X2Passcode provided by the token.
A valid login requires you to know your user id, your password, and have physical possession of your X2 Hard Token.
- Something you know – your password.
- Something you have – your hard token.
